Parenting Tips – Tuesday 22nd September
For many children, routines will have changed during lockdown. Children and parents may have been going to bed later. With children being back to school, it’s important to get back into a good night time routine not only for children but for us adults too! Check out...

Navigation and Nurture is a monthly group for parents who have a child with a profound disability and/or medical complexities.
The sessions are aimed at parents who are relatively new to this parenting path – typically parents whose child is under the age of 8.
The group offers parents an opportunity to meet other parents on a similar path, to learn about what support is available to them and their children, and to support each other with the emotional impact of parenting a child with a profound disability.
It is a warm, friendly and welcoming group.
There is a small budget to cover transport for those who would not otherwise be able to attend sessions.
Experienced playworkers are in the room so parents can bring their children. A small voluntary donation is asked for this.
Please could you print out the attached poster, share the jpg on your socials, share information with colleagues, in team meetings and on newsletters.
We know this group of parents have a particularly challenging parenting journey and that this support is well needed.
This project is being run by Murmuration Community Therapy and supported by Bristol Parent-Carers and The Family Hubs.

💫BEST START IN LIFE: FAMILY SURVEY
Bristol will have a new Best Start in Life Plan from 1 April 2026. This plan is about making sure every baby, child, and family gets the right support from pregnancy to age five. Family Hubs, midwives, health visitors, speech and language teams, nurseries, schools, libraries and community groups will all work more closely together so families can find information and help more easily.
We want to hear from you so we can shape this plan together. Our early idea for our shared vision is: "Partners taking steps together so families belong and thrive.”
We would love to know what this vision means to you, and what you think should be most important in the plan. Please find the link here: Best Start in Life: Family Survey
This survey should take 2–3 minutes. It would be great if you could respond by 5pm on 17th February!
Please email family.hubs@bristol.gov.uk if you are interested in any future engagement sessions about the Best Start in Life Plan.
