Falling asleep while breastfeeding is a natural and instinctive behaviour for babies. Sucking is a soothing behaviour and breastmilk contains hormones which help babies drift off!

Feeding your baby back to sleep in the night is often the quickest and easiest way to help them and you get more sleep. However, as your baby gets older, night weaning is an option you can try if you would like to stop feeding at night.
