Nurture Programme Week 7
Welcome to Week 7 of the Nurture group – a parenting programme for families with children aged 2- 10 years.
This week in our Nurture Group we have been discussing how we support our children as parents, to grow up and become adults. It’s important to remember children learn most from their parents and other close adults and children in their life. If we want our children to grow into respectful adults, it’s important to teach them how to do this as they grow older. We have also been discussing realistic expectations and how sometimes expectations may be too high. How did that make you feel when you were a child? Is there anything you can do differently with your own child?
Today’s activities to try at home cover unrealistic expectations and the importance of playing with your child. It’s good to remember that children learn most through play. Let us know how you get on!
