Paced Bottle Feeding
Paced bottle feeding is a method of feeding a baby which slows down the flow of milk allowing the baby to eat more slowly and take breaks. This allows your baby to eat in a way which mimics the way they would feed if breastfeeding and gives your baby more control over how fast or slow they decide to feed. It also encourages us to respond to the needs of our baby.
Bristol-based lactation consultant and breastfeeding counsellor, Sandra Tanner, explains the benefits of paced feeding and how to use this feeding method effectively.
