Expressing and Storing Breastmilk

You may have different reasons to express your breastmilk such as boosting your milk supply, so your partner to help with feeding or if you will be away from your baby.  If you choose to express, you can either hand express or use a pump. Once you have expressed your milk it is important you store your milk correctly.

It’s worth noting that the amount of breastmilk you’re able to pump isn’t the same as the amount of milk your baby is able to drink from the breast and some women just don’t release very much milk when they’re pumping. So a low yield from pumping is not reliable as an indicator of your milk supply.

Today we are sharing videos and articles with information about expressing milk and safe storage.
